Hundreds of people in Wrington turned out to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the village’s annual youth week.

The week sees parents and children participate in activities such as parkour, pond-dipping and climbing.

It culminated in a big barbecue at Wrington Recreation Ground on Friday.

Organiser Jo Sinclair said: “This week sees the culmination of a massive amount of hard work by a fantastic committee of parents, who work tirelessly to give the children of the village an opportunity to experience new exciting
activities and more familiar ones.

“New friendships are formed and older friendships nourished – long may it continue and keep Wrington the very special place it is to live in.”
