People were getting in the festive spirit at a well-attended school Christmas fair this week.

Villagers flocked to Churchill Academy on Saturday to enjoy the school’s PTA Christmas fair, with a wide range of stalls and activities getting people in the mood for the festive season.

The PTA’s bake off competition received lots of entries, as people showed off their culinary skills.

Youngsters Martha Burford, Anya Lawrence, Maddy Bauden and Kate Bayford hosted a stall, raising money for a trip to Kenya next summer to do humanitarian work.

Crafters Carol Hitchens and Brian Dewhurst showcased their creative skills at the fair, with their stalls of homemade Christmas gifts proving popular.

The PTA was raising money to be reinvested into funding students’ studies and extra-curricular activities.
