Students from a Weston primary school organised their very own safety show to highlight the dangers children face every day.

Bournville Primary School, in Selworthy Road, has been focusing on a range of different issues related to children and young people’s safety.

These have included being careful in the sun, online safety, road safety as well as being safe on the beach.

Classes from the school organised their own stall last week and enlisted the help and support from services across the South West.

The event was attended by the RNLI, St John’s Ambulance, Avon and Somerset Constabulary, as well as Travel West.

The stall showcased all the hard work and research the children had done and included a game for people to take part in, which highlighted what they had learnt.

It raised money for the NSPCC and the final total will soon be announced.
