SUPERMARKET customers came face to face with the King Of Rock ‘n’ Roll on Saturday, when he dropped by to raise money for charity.
Elvis Presley spearheaded a fundraiser by Asda workers in Weston, which raised hundreds of pounds for the Tickled Pink breast cancer appeal.
Spokesman Rachel Mansfield said: “Wow, what a day; Elvis came to town, colleagues dressed up, and bag-packing took place along with a hamper raffle.
“On the day we raised over £600, so that now takes the store’s total for 2013 to over £4,670.”
