A SPONSORED fun ride was held in Clarence Park East at the weekend.
Despite the rain, the event’s organisers were undeterred and a full day of action took place in the park on Sunday.
The ride was organised by In-2-Biking, a Worle-based cycle project which aims to make the sport inclusive for all.
The charity’s project leader Lin Thomas said: “People of all abilities took part with a wide variety of standard and adapted bikes cycling around the perimeter track.
“Members of the public were also able to try out the specially-adapted cycles, trikes, tandems and recumbent bikes.”
Worle Lions Club had a stall at the event and entertained visitors with a pig racing game.
Volunteers put on a cake stall, a bouncy castle and other summer games.
Lin said: “The park is an ideal and safe environment for people of any age or ability to try out cycles of all types.
“People have been telling us that it’s great to see the park being used to support such a good cause.”
