FOOD, flowers and fun were enjoyed by everyone who attended the Wrington village show on Saturday.

Despite the rainy weather, more than 400 people took part in the show at the Memorial Hall in Silver Street.

People were able to submit their best entries in flower, fruit and vegetable classes, while baking and tapestry competitions also proved popular.

Organiser Jim Swords said: “I am very pleased to report we had a very successful show. Even though the weather wasn’t kind to us, everyone who entered made a special effort to put on a good show.

“A thank you must also go to all the children who entered some excellent entries to amuse and delight us.”
