An afternoon of arts and crafts plus tea and cake was enjoyed by families at a pop-up community church in West Wick.

About 40 parents and children joined in with the Spring Sunday event at St Anne’s Primary School, in Scot Elm Drive.

The pop-up church gave families an opportunity to take time out of their busy day to enjoy a hot drink, cake and arts and crafts.

Pastor Ellie Gray said: “Pop-up church is an opportunity for families to come together in a church environment to enjoy a variety of activities.

“It gives people the chance to experience church in a way which suits modern families.”

Children enjoyed making seed designs and paintings before gathering around a prayer tree for a short service.

Mrs Gray added: “It had a lovely, warm feeling and a very welcoming atmosphere. It was nice to see new people come along.”
