Children and their families enjoyed a church service with a twist in Wedmore this weekend.
Around 20 parents and children enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts at St Mary’s Church, in The Vicarage.
The messy church event gave the youngsters the chance to sing songs, create jam jar lanterns and learn about the bible and its teachings.
Vicar Richard Neill said the messy church brought families together.
He added: “The feedback we had was good and the children enjoyed the crafts and tea.”
The next messy church at St Mary’s will be on May 20.
