Ivy Peters marked the landmark occasion with a party at Banwell village hall, in Westfield Crescent.

Her eldest daughter Jo said: “She really enjoyed her party and had a very nice time with her friends and family.”

The mother-of-three was born in Tonypandy, in Wales, and moved to Banwell when she was five years old.

As a child, Ivy helped her father on the coal delivery but as she got older, started working at the church, in West Street.
