North Somerset Council wants to relinquish control of Avon Way Hall.

Police officers based in Weston-super-Mare town centre are set to move into new premises inside the town hall in April, after an agreement was reached between Avon and Somerset Constabulary and North Somerset Council.

Weston’s town centre policing team will be based in the town hall as the rest of the force prepares to move to a new base close to junction 21 of the M5. A council report into the decision said the move, which will see 12 desks designated for police use, would generate at least £50,000 per year for the council for the next 10 years.
