One fire engine from Burnham and two from Weston were called to Sanders Garden World, in Bristol Road, Brent Knoll, at 12.47pm when oil within the fryer caught fire.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the building was evacuated and no-one was injured.

The kitchen fire had already been extinguished by the occupiers using a fire blanket but crews also used two CO2 extinguishers.
