Enjoy a glass of bubbly at the Grand Pier’s first prosecco festival.

The fancy beverage has become one of the UK’s top tipples in recent years and now the Weston attraction is celebrating it.

More than 20 different types of prosecco and fizz will be on offer on Saturday.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of cocktails as well as the ‘pimp your prosecco’ station and masterclasses.

There will also be a fun-filled Prosecco Pong tournament throughout the day as well as the chance to win a hamper.

Event co-ordinator Cat Stiles said: “We thought it was something worth celebrating. And, of course, if you are celebrating, then there’s nothing better than bubbles.

“Prosecco plus the pier add up to a fun-filled festival and a fantastic day out.”

Tickets cost £12 in advance from or £15 on the door and there will be a token system for drinks.

The event will run from noon to 6pm.
