FREE aircraft model kits will be given to the first 100 children through the doors at a modelling and hobbies day at Weston’s Helicopter Museum.

Heli-hobbies will take place from 10am-5.30pm on August 12, and organiser Simon Parks-Lockett has won sponsorship from Airfix to offer the freebies to visiting youngsters.

He said: “During the day the aircraft hangars will not only be full of helicopters but also of much smaller aircraft and vehicles.

“We will have displays of remote-controlled tanks, mini hovercraft and model railways, as well as a variety of stalls and displays showcasing other local hobby societies in and around Weston.”
