Archery, fire lighting and woodland cooking are just some of the activities on offer to people over 50 in North Somerset.

Goblin Combe Environment Centre in Cleeve is running seven weeks of free adventure courses starting next week.

Activities include walking, fire lighting, team challenges, archery, woodland cooking and orienteering.

The course starts on Tuesday and will run each week from 1-4pm.

The group will include a maximum of eight people and the course is free for adults living in North Somerset who are aged 50 and over.

Alice Tucker, programme engagement tutor at the environment centre, said: “The course has run many times before at Goblin Combe and has always been great fun.”
