THOUSANDS of people descended on Weston’s beach to see some of the world’s top motocross riders compete.

The Pro Nationals Festival returned on Saturday and Sunday for two days of quad bike, BMX and motocross action.

As well as stunt shows on the Beach Lawns, visitors were also treated to live music on Saturday night, with a performance from the Adam Winslet Band.

More than 10,000 visitors flooded through the gates
during the two-day event, where they could enjoy 50 hard-fought races across two beach courses.

They watched the UK’s top freestyle motocross team show off their daredevil stunts, as well as mountain bike rider Chris Doney.

Estonian motocross rider Tanel Leok thrived on the toughest track to be built on Weston’s beach, as he won four out of four of his races.

Families also visited the kidzone, where children met their favourite characters, including Donald Duck, and were given the chance to have a go at motocross for themselves.

They could also try zorbing, the bungee trampolines and electric bikes.
