STRIKING shots of 1920s Weston have now been brought to light by a new website showing hundreds of images from across the country.
Britain From Above features more than 15,000 rare aerial shots from the Aerofilms Collection, which are now available to view.
Among the pictures are shots of Weston showing the town’s original Grand Pier, Birnbeck Pier, Knightstone Island, and even a pre-Tropicana seafront.
You can take a look at the website, which was launched by English Heritage and the Royal Commissions on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland and Wales, by visiting www.britainfromabove.org.uk
