CREW and volunteers for Weston’s RNLI took part in a five mile round trip on one of the charity’s main fundraising days.

Crew members in the lifesaving kit joined volunteers and the Mayor of Weston in pulling a D Class lifeboat from Anchor Head, along the promenade to the Tropicana and back.

It was a successful event with many people enjoying the Bank Holiday sun and throwing coins into the lifeboat and collection buckets.

The RNLI’s Sam James submitted these pictures to the Mercury of the Lifeboat Pull.
