EVERY dog has his day and for dozens of much-loved pets, Sunday was their day in the sun.

A RSPCA dog show on the Beach Lawns drew in a sizeable crowd as the animals were judged in various categories ranging from best puppy to best child dog-handler.

Face painting, stalls raising money for the RSPCA and games were open to the public in addition to the main event.
