A Weston charity held a garden party to raise funds and celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday and it was ‘the best yet’, according to its organiser.
Leonard Cheshire Disability is a national charity and has over 200 care homes for disabled people, including one in Weston.
Staff and residents of Birnbeck and Quantock, which supports adults with learning disabilities, enjoyed refreshments and a raffle in the home’s garden.
The raffle and cakes raised £268.50, which will go towards the garden’s development.
Service manager, Sarah Granger, said: “I am really pleased with how many people joined us to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. It has been our best garden party yet.”
