A WESTON woman has had her head shaved in honour of her brave ill best friend.

A WESTON woman has had her head shaved in honour of her brave ill best friend.

Tanya Muirhead removed all the hair from her head in a display of solidarity with Tracy Kimmins, who will lose hers due to chemotherapy for breast cancer.

Tanya, aged 45-year-old, of New Bristol Road, said: "I want to show Tracey that she isn't alone and I will support her through the illness."

Tanya's kind bosses at Lloyds Pharmacy, in Waterloo Street, allowed her to take time out for her 12-year-old daughter Bethany to play the role of barber.

She hopes the stunt will raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and donations are being taken in the shop.
