Traffic is beginning to build on the M5 due to a broken down vehicle.

There are delays on the M5 southbound today (Thursday) due to a broken down vehicle and an earlier accident

Two lanes are closed on the southbound carriageway of the motorway between junction 21 (Weston-super-Mare) and junction 22 (Burnham-on-Sea) due to a broken down vehicle.

There are long queues and Highways England does not expect the incident to clear until 9-9.15am.

There are also delays of 10 minutes on the M5 southbound entry sliproad at Sedgemoor Services.

Traffic is tailing all the way back from junction 22 to junction 15, at the Almondsbury Interchange, partly due to an accident earlier this morning which has since been cleared.
