A MOTHER will be celebrating her next birthday by jumping out of a plane for charity.
Charlotte Fry, aged 37, was given the chance to complete a sky-dive on Friday as a present from her husband Brian to celebrate her birthday.
Charlotte, of Gielgud Close, in Burnham, said: “It’s something I always wanted to do and as my husband has paid for it and it’s something a bit different I wanted to raise money for charity at the same time.”
But she won’t be completing the challenge alone as her Gielgud Close neighbour and friend Michelle Wright, aged 36, will be taking to the skies alongside her.
Charlotte and Michelle both have two sons and have chosen charities which are close to their hearts.
Charlotte has chosen to raise money for the Jessie May Trust in Bristol and Michelle will be collecting cash for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Charlotte said: “I’m so excited, but whether I will feel like that on the day is another matter.
“Every time I think about it I can’t wait to do it but Michelle is a bit more apprehensive.”
Together the mothers have already raised £600.
Charlotte said: “Any more support we can get for this would be brilliant. We are just trying to raise as much as possible to give something to the people who are less fortunate than ourselves.”
Michelle and Charlotte will be taking on the sky-dive at Dunkeswell Airfield in Devon.
