WESTON Hospicecare is urging the public to give their friends and family the royal treatment by getting involved in its Big Jubilee Cream Tea event.
The event will launch at the start of next month and groups across the community will host their own cream tea parties and invite friends, family and colleagues to raise money for the charity.
Sue Sweet, community fundraiser at Weston Hospicecare, said: “The Big Jubilee Cream Tea is for everyone - from schools and offices to sports groups and book clubs. It could take place at home, at the office or you could hire out the village hall.
“Every £5 raised could pay for a book that helps a mother to explain to her child about her cancer and £20 might go towards pain relief for patients in our in-patient unit for a day.”
To register for The Big Jubilee Cream Tea visit www.westonhospicecare.org.uk/thebigcreamtea or call 01934 423960.
