Jason Small is this week's Human of Weston.

This week’s Humans of Weston instalment comes from 46-year-old day-tripper Jason Small.

Jason, of Portishead, was visiting his mum in Weston when he spoke to the Humans team.

He said he was interested in photography and particularly enjoyed taking photos of vintage vehicles.

Jason said: “I like taking photos of old-fashioned buses and coaches. That comes from being a coach and bus driver. When I was about 18 or 20 years old, I had just passed my driving test and I had the privilege of driving one (a bus).”

Jason said he suffered from a mental illness and found reading books and watching films helped when he had a bad day.

He joined the South West Zero Suicide Collaborative after his partner committed suicide five years ago.

He said: “The message I have to share with anyone who may be suffering with their mental health is to find help.”
