This week’s Humans of Weston instalment features Worle mum Lin Thomas, aged 58.

Lin, who has three sons, established Age 2 Age, North Somerset’s first disabled cycling charity.

She said she was inspired to set up the project after relocating to Weston four years ago.

Lin said: “I have a son with disabilities and I set up a project where we previously lived.

“We work at Worle Community School on Friday and Saturday afternoons.”

Lin said the charity had also set up a new community interest company called In 2 Gear, which is based at Clarence Park.

She said: “We work on repairing and the maintenance of bikes. We upcycle bikes and receive donations, then send them out fully working.

“I get the enjoyment of seeing people succeed, the community spirit and just being able to help the community in some way. It is lovely to meet new people.”
