This week’s Humans of Weston entry comes from devoted grandfather Mike Holloway.

Mike, aged 59, has two granddaughters and two grandsons.

He said his grandchildren made him very aware of his age and said they were his ‘favourite passion’ in life.

Mike, of Summerlands Road, said: “I have lots of passions, but my favourite passion is my four grandchildren.

“Being a granddad keeps me young but it makes me realise how old I am.

“I love being around them.

“In life we are not going to be around forever so I would like them to talk about me when I am gone.”

Mike also said he was passionate about playing walking football, after getting into the sport at Weston Football Club a year ago.

He said: “It gives all of us older chaps a chance to do something.

“We play like Barcelona – a little bit messy in places.”
