A SCAVENGER hunt is taking place in Weston this month – in a bid to find the best photographs.
Weston COG, a community group aimed at improving the town, is helping to organise the photography competition run by Weston Arts Gallery in partnership with craft group Made In North Somerset.
The competition, known as the Photo Scavenger Hunt, invites people of all ages and skill levels to take photos across 10 categories – with the best to be displayed in the gallery’s Made In North Somerset exhibition from September 20 to October 7.
Categories include ‘best of Weston’, natural patterns, and music.
Kevin Thompson, manager of Digital Photo Studio at Weston Arts Gallery, said: “We’re really excited to see what people come up with.
“We live in a beautiful and vibrant part of the world and we hope our exhibition will represent that.”
Entry is open now and costs £7 for adults and £4 for children, with entry forms available from Weston Arts Gallery in Locking Road.
Participants can enter up to 10 photographs, one for each category, and can use a range of tools from state-of-the-art film and digital cameras to a smartphone.
For more details call the gallery on 01934 626616.
