SUB-ZERO temperatures and icy roads are making travel conditions treacherous this morning - as this truck driver can testify.

The articulated lorry jackknifed on Weston’s Birnbeck Road this morning, losing control on the corner and blocking the seafront highway.

Police say no-one was injured in the incident, which illustrates how difficult driving can be today, with temperatures in North Somerset touching minus eight degrees this morning.

North Somerset continues to be classed as a ‘be aware’ area by the Met Office, with snow possible and temperatures unlikely to rise above zero at all today.
