The annual event was held at one of the village’s picturesque gardens in The Cedars last Sunday.

The event was raising money for St Lawrence Church, with strawberries and cream on sale.

Sandra Redman, who lives in the village and went to the event, said: “We couldn’t have wished for a better day.

“The sun shone and everyone enjoyed listening to the gentle jazz as they had their picnic and then bought strawberries and cream.

“People are already asking for the date of the next one.”
