A gran and granddaughter are looking forward to taking part in Weston Hospicecare’s Bubble Rush tomorrow (Saturday).

Bev Rea is a long-term supporter of the hospice in Uphill and her granddaughter Jessica, aged seven, will be joining her for the foamy 5km fundraiser at Apex Park in Burnham-on-Sea.

Bev said: “I support the hospice because I have seen the wonderful support and help patients, and their families, receive.

“I have taken part in previous 5km walks and runs but this year I am particularly thrilled to be taking part with my lovely seven-year-old granddaughter Jessica. I just hope I can keep up with her.”

People can still sign up to the Bubble Rush from 10.30-11.45am on the day. For more details on the event, visit www.westonhospicecare.org.uk/bubble
