Jewellery thief threatens boy with screwdriver

A thief stole jewellery from a Weston-super-Mare home after threatening a teenage boy with a screwdriver.
On Friday afternoon he made off with four necklaces, two watches, a man’s wedding band and a emerald and diamond ring, as well as a jewellery box full of other items.
A pair of gold hoop earnings and a backpack were also taken.
The teenager was threatened at his home in Gillmore Road at about 3.40pm, by a man police say is about 5ft 6ins, stocky and aged 35-40 years old.
He is bald and wore a grey hooded jumper and green cargo shorts.
He is said to have a distinctive green-circled mark on the back of his left knee.
Detective Inspector Lindsay Shearlock said: “This was clearly a frightening incident for the victim and we’re supporting him and his family.”
“I’d like to reassure the community that a full investigation is under way and numerous lines of enquiry are being progressed to catch the man responsible.
“We need the public’s help and would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the E-fit or the description, as well as anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the Gillmore Road area of Weston
