Joe Gregory, who is studying events management and production at University Centre Weston, has launched a 5km Woodland Dash around Worlebury Woods. It will take place on March 3.

Joe, aged 31, said: “From the very start of my course it was my intention to put on a charity run to get people active and enjoy the wonderful areas of Weston.

“Weston College works very closely with Weston Hospicecare so it seemed like the ideal match.

“Weston Hospicecare does wonderful work for our community – not only looking after those with life-limiting illnesses, but also looking after their families.”
