WOMEN in Weston are being urged to grab their last chance to enter this year’s Race For Life.

There are just two weeks left until registration closes for the Cancer Research UK event at the beach.

Hundreds of women have already signed up to join the pink army on July 8, but there are still places left.

Entry closes on July 6 and organisers are encouraging mums, daughters, grandmothers, sisters and friends to take part in the 5km race.

Maxine Bateman, South West Race For Life event manager, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that so many women have entered Race For Life event in Weston. But we still have places left so we are urging women to sign up as soon as possible.”

Last year more than 1,500 women took part in the Race For Life in Weston and helped raise £79,000 for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

This year, the charity hopes the women who have entered will hit a fundraising target of £70,000.

To enter, visit or call 03001 230770.
