Yatton villagers have just a few days left to comment on a plan which would shape the area’s future.

A neighbourhood plan has been created by volunteers, but is being put out to public consultation so it can be amended if necessary.

The document outlines areas where housing would be welcomed – including the former Titan Ladders factory site – and also areas the community wishes to protect – such as the orchard off Moor Road.

The latter site is subject to a 69-home application by Persimmon Homes.

The deadline for commenting on the neighbourhood plan is tomorrow (Monday) at noon.

It will need the approval of North Somerset Council and an independent expert before a referendum is held to determine whether it should be adopted.

* To comment, visit the council’s website, email or write to the planning policy team at Weston Town Hall.
