The next blue plaque for Weston-super-Mare will be decided by you today (Thursday) – and this is your last chance to vote.

Weston Town Council is planning to put 12 more plaques around the town. But it does not have enough money to install them all at once, and your votes will decide which will go up first.

Weston’s first mayor, Henry Butt, is the favourite at the moment, but you can still have your say.

Simply use the poll below to search through the 12 names, and click the links to read their biographies.

The plaques are split into categories, including Weston’s visionaries who are responsible for building parts of the town, art and cultural personalities, people who have made contributions to British history and some of the town’s famous visitors.

You can vote for as many or as few as you like, simply by clicking the arrows next to their names.

All of the plaques will eventually be installed, subject to permission from the building’s owner.
