Late-night robbery prompts police appeal

POLICE are appealing for information after a late-night robbery in Weston-super-Mare.

A man was walking along Alexandra Parade at around 11.30pm on July 14 when another man approached him and snatched his phone before pushing him into a nearby wall.

The suspect is a white man and around 5ft 8ins tall of slim to medium build.

He is aged between 28 and 32-years-old and has short brown hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.

A spokesman from Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, who may have information to help our enquiries.”
