Library services are now available in Oldmixon as a result of North Somerset Council’s community access review, which is trying to provide libraries and children’s centres for more families in Weston.

The Oldmixon Family Centre, in Monkton Avenue, now has a library access point.

This means it now offers a limited selection of books for all ages, wi-fi, access to online council services, as well as the library catalogues, so you can search and reserve books.

The new access point is available from 9am-12.30pm on Tuesdays, and from 9am-12.30pm and 1pm-4pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The family centre also has rooms available for hire and is part of the South Weston Children’s Centre.

The centre provides support and services to families with children under five in Bournville, Oldmixon and Coronation – which will now include access to a range of books.
