Make a May Day garland

MARINE Cove gardens are inviting visitors to make their own May Day garland with the Burnham evening floral group.

Friends of Marine Cove in Burnham have organised the event with Sedgemoor District Council and will offer expert advice to assist in the traditional craft.

Hoops and materials will be available to those who would like to take part and Marine Cove is also welcoming children to take part.

The crowns will also be made in a traditional style out of flowers and foliage. The event will be held on May 7 from 1-3pm and a small donation towards materials would be appreciated.
