Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was verbally abused on a bus earlier this month.

The man was travelling on the number 21 from Bridgwater to Burnham-on-Sea on March 5 at about 3.45pm when another man verbally abused him.

The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, about 6ft 2ins tall, with short brown hair and a short brown beard.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset police said: “He was wearing a black and white Adidas hat, a navy blue coat and dark blue jeans.

“He had a tattoo on the left side of his neck, possibly of a bird, as well as a sleeve tattoo on his right arm.

“He was with two other men on the bus.

“We would like to speak to anyone who might recognise the description of the man or witnessed the incident.”

Anyone with information should contact the non-emergency number on 101, quoting the crime reference number 5218048004.
