Landlord in hospital after pub robbery

A pub landlord suffered cuts to his face and hand following a robbery at a pub in Kewstoke.

Three men have now been arrested in connection with the incident, which happened just after 7am this morning (on Tuesday).

Police were called to reports of a robbery at the New Inn, in Crookes Lane.

The licensee was injured in the incident and has been taken to hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

A quantity of cash was also stolen during the robbery.

Officers from Avon and Somerset police carried out extensive searches in Kewstoke and Worle and three men have now been arrested and remain in police custody.

Police are appealing for wittnesses to come forward. Anyone who can help, is asked to call 101 and quote reference 5218027519.
