Man’s body discovered on Weston beach

The body was found next to the pier.


A body has been pulled out of the water next to Weston-super-Mare’s Grand Pier this afternoon (Friday).

Avon and Somerset Constabulary was called to the beach at 12.34pm after reports from a member of the public that a body had been found in the water.

Police are treating the man’s death as unexplained, but it is not thought to be suspicious.

Officers are carrying out enquiries on behalf of the coroner.
