School chef to sign copies of debut book

An award-winning Weston-super-Mare chef will sign copies of his debut book at Waterstones on Saturday.

Steve Fowell, head chef at Mendip Green Primary School in Worle, has published his first cook book Family Cooking With...The School Chef which is now on sale at the bookshop in the Sovereign Centre.

Steve, who is known as The School Chef, is pleased with the book’s early success.

He said: “I am absolutely over the moon that the UK’s leading bookstore has decided to stock my first cook book.

“I am truly hoping my book will become the go-to tool for parents and grandparents everywhere who want to spend more quality time in the kitchen preparing great food together as a family.

“My mission is to help people become aware of the importance of spending time as a family around food, sourcing it, preparing it, cooking it and of course sharing it together.”

Steve will sign copies of his new cook book from 10am.
