Man charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Weston-super-Mare


A 52-year-old man has been charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Weston-super-Mare.

Michael Ruff has been charged with robbery and threatening a person with a blade in a public place.

The charges relate to an incident in Montpelier on Friday when a woman was threatened and her car and personal items were stolen.

Ruff has also been charged with aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, in connection with an incident where a teenage boy was threatened during a burglary at a property in Gillmore Road on the same day.

Ruff is due to appear before at North Somerset Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).
