A week-long exhibition of original paintings by a Burnham artist will begin on Monday.

Michael Squire has been a local artist for many years, and the paintings displayed include landscapes, animals, chickens and flowers in watercolours and acrylics.

The exhibition is of added significance as Michael’s painting to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday will be on display.

Michael was invited, along with 89 others, to paint a picture in the grounds of Windsor Castle in July 2016, and the Jubilee Gardens was his chosen subject.

He said: “This was a great privilege, and the experience will be everlasting.

“This painting and many others in the exhibition should attract considerable interest though its provenance.

“I am hoping for a good attendance.”

The exhibition will run from November 20-26 at 10am-4pm at 16 Brightstowe Road.
