A MOTHER who had been missing for two weeks with her three-year-old son has been found safe and well.

Rebecca Minnock, known as Becky, aged 35, went missing with her son Ethan two weeks ago after she was due to hand him over to his father, Roger Williams, following a court order.

But she has now been found safe and well with the toddler in the Oxford area.

Police have said the pair will ‘receive the support they need’ and the ‘appropriate welfare arrangements will be made’.

When Miss Minnock was still missing she contacted The Sun newspaper to say she had ‘lost all faith’ in the system and the pair were safe.

Ethan’s grandmother and her boyfriend, Louise Minnock, aged 52, and Andrew Butt, aged 56, were both jailed for contempt of court yesterday (Friday) after lying about the toddler’s disappearance.

Louise Minnock was sentenced to 10 days in prison and Butt was jailed for 28 days.

Detective chief inspector Marie Wright, of Avon and Somerset Police, had been leading the investigation and made a direct appeal to Miss Minnock yesterday.

Miss Minnock has since made contact with the police.

DCI Wright, said: “This is the news we had been hoping for and I am grateful to Becky for coming forward.

“Both Becky and Ethan will now receive the support they need and the appropriate welfare arrangements will be made.

“I would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance throughout this investigation.”
