Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a missing woman.

Linda Pruvedenti was seen in Highbridge on Sunday and has not been spotted since.

The 55-year-old is white, about 5ft 6ins and of a large build.

She has alopecia and may be wearing a headscarf or wig, according to police.

Detective Inspector Angela Burtonwood said: “Linda’s disappearance is out of character and we’re growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.”

Linda lives in Bridgwater but her bag was found in the Cotham area of Bristol yesterday (Monday).

Det Insp Burtonwood said: “We believe she’s likely to be in the Bristol area but she may also have travelled outside of the city.

“I’d like to appeal to anyone who sees her, or thinks they may know where she might be, to contact us immediately.”

Anyone who sees Linda is asked to phone 999 and quote reference 5217265885.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 101 quoting the same reference.
