Axbridge’s church fete at the Church of St John The Baptist in The Square saw youngsters from Axbridge First School sing at the event which also had stalls and a raffle on offer.

The fete was opened by a resident dressed as King Eadmund, who held court in Cheddar about 1,000 years ago.

Katie Hudd was crowned Blackberry Carnival Queen with princesses Chloe Walkling and Katrina Francis for the town’s annual Blackberry Carnival in September.
