AN ACCIDENT on the M5 has caused traffic misery this morning (Wed), after a lane was closed and speeds cut to 50mph.

The collision involving two cars occurred between the M5 Northbound junction 22 Burnham (A38/B3140) and junction 21 Weston (A370/B3440) at around 7am.

The accident involved a Mini and a Ford Focus.

The lane has now reopened and the accident cleared, but traffic is likely to be congested.
