A £9.5million car park development began at Bristol Airport last week.

The first multi-storey car park on the airport’s site will have more than 1,000 spaces and will be situated within a short walking distance of the terminal.

The car park will be open to the public in May 2018.

Andrew Goodenough, development director at the airport, said: “These developments demonstrate our continued commitment to enhance passenger facilities at Bristol Airport.

“The multi-storey car park will meet the demand for high quality, secure car parking close to the terminal.”

Goldbeck Construction has been appointed to build the car park, which will be of a steel modular construction.

Construction follows recent improvements elsewhere across the site this year, including a £2.5million customer reception centre in the silver zone car park and a £2.3million upgrade to the immigration hall.
