PICTURE the scene; you’re returning home from a pleasant trip to visit your grandparents, and turn into your street to be greeted by an unusual sight.
You turn to your passenger: “Hey mum, that car looks like it’s in my garden… oh.”
There is indeed a car straddling your front wall, and wedged, with its front wheels off the ground, against your front step.
That was the scenario which greeted Kris James when he returned to his home in Worle’s Pelican Close on Sunday.
He found an S-reg BMW lodged in his front garden, and grabbed these dramatic photographs to send to the Mercury.
The 28-year-old said: “I was in complete and utter shock when we drove round the corner to see the car sat on the fence that surrounds our garden.
“I said to my mum ‘that car looks like it’s in my garden’, and as we got closer it became clear it was.
“I actually measured the distance between the front of the car and my front door and it was only around a metre from hitting the actual house – very scary.
“No-one was home at the time, thankfully – and thankfully no-one was hurt.”
